Adv. Gideon Fisher

Adv. Gideon Fisher, FCIArb, is the founder and senior partner of the law firm of Gideon Fisher & Co, a certified Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a former judge of the Court of International Arbitration of the ICC, the chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Israeli Press Council, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cambridge and serves as president of the Cambridge alumni society in Israel and a Ph.D candidate in arbitration at Bar-Ilan University.

Employing his high proficiency in a wide variety of legal practices, specialized expertise in complex commercial litigation as well as his copious experience inside and out of the courtroom, Adv. Fisher is renowned throughout the Israeli legal sector as a seasoned advocate, receiving to his name dozens of precedential rulings. Coupling a high level of creativity with a true devotion to the client, Adv. Fisher works tirelessly until achieving the best results possible, which will serve the clients' long-term interests.

Among Adv. Fisher's clients are corporations, not-for profit organizations, senior politicians and ministers, governmental authorities and major business leaders.

Adv. Fisher is one of Israel's leading experts in the field of arbitration, serving as a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a lead counsel in multiple high-stakes arbitrations, as well as serving as arbitrator in many complex and intricate arbitration cases, in Israel and abroad. Adv. Fisher is an active member of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Arbitration Board in Paris and Chairman of the ICC’s international arbitration committee. Adv. Fisher was also a member of the Board of Trustees of ICC’s International Tribunal and Arbitrations in Paris. Recently, Adv. Fisher decided to share his knowledge and experience in the field o arbitration by writing a book on the matter - "Arbitration in the business world", which is considered as the most comprehensive book on the subject, and gained widespread popularity. In addition, Adv. Fisher is currently in the midst of establishing an innovative institute to train arbitrators, the first of its kind in Israel, in cooperation with Bar-Ilan University.

In addition to his professional activity, Adv. Fisher is also highly dedicated to public service, serving as president of the Israel Bar Association’s International Foreign Relations Committee, president of the Israel Press Council’s Ethics Tribunal and former chairman of the WIZO Israel Appeal. He is the founder and chairman of The Fisher Fund, which is dedicated to making donations and providing grants to promote welfare, social and educational purposes, and to assist various populations facing dire financial, social, personal, medical and mental hardships.
